Suzanne Hughes:The backbone of current anticoagulation therapy for long-term use includes the use of the Vitamin K antagonist Warfarin.  Warfarin is used for patients with certain valvular heart disease diagnosis， for atrial fibrillation， and also in patients with deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism to prevent recurrence.
